Superfast Broadband

Are you frustrated by the slow speed and unreliablility of your broadband connection? If so, you will be pleased to know that Warwickshire County Council is working with other local authorities and the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership to bid for funding from the Government to bring superfast broadband to our local communities. To support the campaign, and complete the online survey, which includes a test of your broadband speed, please click on the following link www.warwickshire.gov.uk/superfastbroadband

Affordable Housing

The parish council is working with Warwickshire Rural Community Council and Warwickshire Rural Housing Association to find a way to deliver the affordable housing which is needed in this village. Unfortunately there is no funding available from the Homes and Communities Agency for any schemes in Stratford on Avon District so we are currently exploring other options. One of these would be to build a mixed scheme of affordable and local market housing. However, before this can be considered any further, it is necessary to establish whether there is a local need for any market housing. We will shortly be conducting a survey to gather this information. People who are not currently living in the village but have a housing need and a strong connection with the village, will also have the opportunity to take part in the survey. Please keep up to date by visiting this website and also reading Scene.

Imaging Your Past and Present

Would you like to help identify buidlings and landscapes which are not currently protected by the planning process, but which you feel are important to our local community and future generations. If so, Warwickshire County Council's new project is encouraging people to take photographs and upload them on to the website www.warwickshire.gov.uk/timetrail This will help staff to compile a list of locally important buildings and landscapes which can then be consulted as part of the planning process and is a way of getting your views heard.
