Cemetery Manager
Jenny Pickering manages the cemetery on behalf of the parish council. Any enquiries re burials, interment of ashes or erection of headstones should be directed to Jenny on 0779 241 8642 or bishopsitchingtoncemetery@btconnect.com
Litter Warden
Christian Cosgriff is our litter warden. He works part time and cannot be everywhere at once! If you see an area which needs litter picking, please contact the clerk who will arrange for Christian to pay a visit.
Pavilion Cleaner
Wendy Handy keeps the sports pavilion on the playing field clean and tidy for our footballers.
Play Area Inspector
Martin Cosgriff carries out a weekly inspection of the children's play area and looks for any obvious defects or safety problems. Members of the public can help too by reporting any problems they have found to the clerk as soon as possible.
Grounds Maintenance
We have two contractors with different responsibilities as follows:
Tim Batchelor, TJB Landscapes - looks after the children's play area, the cemetery and churchyard.
Michael Mann, MFM Services - mows the playing field and the rear of the cemetery as well as all the verges and greens.
